ARCC Researchers Awarded High Honours in June 2018!
The Canadian Centre for Applied Research in Cancer Control is proud to recognize the outstanding achievements of two members of the ARCC-BC team, Ms. Deirdre Weymann and Dr. Dean Regier.
In Early June, ARCC Health Economist Deirdre Weymann was awarded top honours at HTAi’s 2018 Meeting in Vancouver, winning best oral presentation for her talk “Review Of Economic Evaluations Of Next-Generation Precision Oncology”. This work was also featured during the Specialized Workshop on Big Data in Precision Oncology presented at the 2018 ARCC Conference. Congratulations Deedee – we can’t wait to see what you come up with next, and look forward to working with you for many years to come!
ARCC Scientist Dr. Dean Regier, who is an Assistant Professor with the University of British Columbia, was recognized by the School of Population and Public Health for achieving Outstanding Academic Performance (OAP) for 2017-2018. OAP is awarded annually following peer-review, in recognition of academic achievements, and we are not surprised to see Dr. Regier recognized in this way after an outstanding year. Congratulations Dean – we are so proud to be a part of your continued success, and are humbled by your dedication to improving the lives of people with cancer (and beyond!).
Please join us in congratulating Dean and Deirdre on their recent success stories!!
