CCS Awards for Excellence in Cancer Research – Inclusive Excellence Prize nominations open until June 15, 2022

The Canadian Cancer Society has recognized individuals who have made, and are making, valuable contributions to the cancer research ecosystem in Canada since 1993 through our Awards for Excellence in Cancer Research.

Several months ago, they launched the 2021 call for nominations for the six prizes offered by CCS, and received a number of high quality nominations for most of our awards. However, they did not receive any nominations for the Inclusive Excellence Prize that met the criteria for the award. This award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated leadership in the advancement of equity, diversity and inclusion as it relates to the cancer research ecosystem in Canada.

We have re-opened nominations for this prize because we firmly believe that there are worthy individuals doing this work who deserve to be recognized.

Please consider nominating a deserving individual for this award. Note that nominees need not have held CCS funding, nor do they need to hold an academic research position (e.g. assistant professor) to be eligible for this prize. More details are available in the full nomination guide here.

Nominations for the 2021 Inclusive Excellence Prize must be submitted via EGrAMS by Wednesday, June 15th at 11:59pm ET.
