Position Overview
We are seeking a postdoctoral fellow to join our research team in Dr. Nancy Baxter’s Health Services Research Unit, Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute St. Michael’s Hospital. The postdoctoral fellow will conduct health services research embedded in the RUBY (Reducing the Burden of Breast Cancer in Young Women) project. RUBY is a pan-Canadian research initiative funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research and the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation to improve care and outcomes for young women diagnosed with breast cancer. The Postdoctoral Fellow will be leading a project focused on enhancing multi-disciplinary care and decision-making for women across Canada who have recently been diagnosed with breast cancer. The postdoctoral fellow will work with a multi-disciplinary research team leading a research project and gain skills in mentoring/supervising undergraduate, graduate and medical students.
Desired Skills/Qualifications
- PhD degree in Health Services Research/Knowledge Translation
- Proven experience in: systematic literature reviews, protocol development, data analysis, preparation of manuscripts, and publishing in scientific journals
- Excellent organization and planning skills, project management skills with attention to detail and effective problem-solving and communication skills
- Proven ability to lead teams

Candidates must have obtained or have an expected date of Ph.D. completion of no later than September 2017 in Health Services Research / Knowledge Translation or a related field. Demonstration of a strong scientific background, based on publication record and letters of recommendation is required.
