Post-Doctoral Fellowship Opportunity – Propel (University of Waterloo)

The Propel Centre is accepting applications for postdoctoral fellows. Positions are available for qualified candidates from diverse fields (e.g., population health, health studies, planning, epidemiology, biostatistics, psychology) who are interested in advancing their research skills, productivity, and collaborations with science, policy and practice colleagues. The candidates will conduct work that addresses Propel’s strategic priorities, with a primary emphasis in tobacco control. They will lead and support peer-reviewed and other publications, and participate in the preparation and execution of grant proposals. Candidates will work as members of interdisciplinary project teams, participating fully in scholarly activities. They will have access to quantitative and qualitative data sets for secondary analyses, including the national Canadian Student Tobacco, Alcohol, and Drugs Survey (formerly the Youth Smoking Survey). They will also be able to contribute to and build on existing projects (e.g., smoking cessation interventions, healthy school communities, smoke-free spaces) and participate in existing networks and communities of research and practice.
