**NEW** CIHR Institute of Cancer Research and ARCC Research Impact Awards

ARCC is excited to announce a new partnership with the CIHR Institute of Cancer Research to establish two new awards celebrating excellence in applied cancer research:  the Early Career Researcher Award and Research Impact Award. Awards will be given annually between 2026 and 2028.

Each award will be given annually, and has a value of $1,500 in Canadian funds.

Both awards will be based upon the successful applicant’s record of research and evidence of research leadership and impact on cancer control in the past three (3) years, with the Early Career Researcher (ECR) award dedicated to applicants who qualify as an ECR as per CIHR Guidelines.

**The 2026 Research Awards Competition will be accepting applications until February 20^th, 2026. **
