NCCPH Knowledge Translation Graduate Student Awards
The National Collaborating Centres for Public Health is granting up to three awards to be given annually to attend the CPHA Annual Conference. Travel, accommodation and registration fees will be covered up to a maximum of $1,500.
Eligibility
The award is open to students who are currently enrolled in a graduate program (full or part-time) OR students who completed a graduate degree in the last 12 months. Applicants must be students at a Canadian academic institution, and in a discipline relevant to public health.
The focus of the thesis or project must be knowledge translation in public health. The award will not be given for knowledge translation done as part of paid employment or a research assistant position, but must be the student’s own work (knowing there will be input from faculty and mentors). The award will not be given for a knowledge translation project outside of public health.
Applications will be accepted from individual students only, not pairs or groups. While we acknowledge that no student works in isolation, the focus of the award is on the individual student’s role in the project, and that role must be described in addition to the overall project.
