Senior Project Manager, Capital Project- The Senior Project Manager position requires a high level of project management expertise, knowledge of building design and construction processes, including standards and operational elements specific to large health care facilities. You will maintain oversight and accountability for the entire project execution, delivery and final performance signoff. The pressures of time, financial constraints, and program requirements will continuously impact this position. You are expected to keep stakeholders continually aware and engaged in all aspects of the project process. This project is high profile, and is both technically and organizationally complex and must be managed with the utmost concern for human health and wellbeing in the context of challenging budgets.

Director of Research- The Research Institute in Oncology and Hematology (RIOH) is a recently established institute, jointly sponsored by CancerCare Manitoba (CCMB) and the University of Manitoba (UM) to broaden the scope and increase the scale of research and research training in Manitoba in the fields of cancer and blood disorders. A major focus of RIOH is to further interdisciplinary research across a spectrum of basic discovery science, clinical sciences, population sciences and
health services research.
CCMB and UM are now seeking to recruit a founding Director of RIOH who will oversee the implementation of the provisions of the CCMB-UM Agreement pertaining to RIOH and will develop, in consultation with the members of RIOH, senior officials in CCMB and UM, and the RIOH’s Advisory Board, the policies, procedures, plans and initiatives that will guide RIOH’s activities through the early phases of its development and beyond.
As the officer responsible for the administration of RIOH, the Director will report to the President and Chief Executive Officer of CCMB and the Vice-President (Research and International) of UM. Given CCMB’s broad provincial mandate and the facilities it provides to accommodate RIOH through the CCMB Research Centre, the Director will be called upon to work with the Senior Management of CCMB in the planning and development of cancer and blood disorders research in Manitoba, including through CCMB’s interactions with key partners– notably, the CancerCare Manitoba Foundation.
