Through the Institute Community Support (ICS) Program, the CIHR Institutes and Initiatives have opened the fall 2023 ICS Travel Awards competition for students, postdoctoral fellows, early career researchers and knowledge users to present their own research at national and international meetings, workshops, and/or conferences.

Summary/Relevance

• The CIHR Institute of Cancer Research (ICR) invests in research in all areas of cancer control. ICR helps reduce the burden of cancer on individuals and families through research on prevention strategies, screening, early diagnosis, effective treatments, psycho-social support systems, and palliation.
• ICR will fund applications relevant to ICR’s mandate or strategic priorities. ICR will accept applications from trainees only to present their own research (oral or poster) at national or international meetings, conferences or symposia. Priority will be given to research that aligns with ICR’s current research priority areas.

Funds Available

• The maximum amount for a single award is $1,500.
