The Population Health Division of the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency is accepting
applications for the position of Health Economics Analyst within the Department of
Performance Measurement and Epidemiology. The Department conducts cancer control
activities in the areas of epidemiological research, cancer and risk factor surveillance,
statistical analysis, program evaluation, and performance measurement of cancer
programs in Saskatchewan.

Reporting to the Director of Epidemiology and Performance Measurement, the Health
Economics Analyst is responsible for designing and conducting applied health-economic
analyses, building creative economic models using the latest techniques, and providing
health economics expertise to the Agency. These activities will be focused around
outcome and cost effectiveness of the cancer system in Saskatchewan.

Qualifications include a Masters degree in health economics, pharmacoeconomics, or
related discipline with a demonstrated interest in outcomes or health services research
and cost effectiveness analysis. Applicants defending their thesis during the
probationary period may be considered. Experience with analysis of health
administrative databases and/or economic modeling as well as experience of applying
economics to healthcare is preferred.
