Ontario Cancer Statistics 2024

Ontario Cancer Statistics 2024 is now available. It is the fifth in a series of reports that provide comprehensive information on the burden of cancer in the province. This edition continues to provide a snapshot of the burden of childhood cancers (ages 0 to 14) through the contribution of the Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario (POGO) and includes a special focus chapter on the patterns and trends of cancer during the first few years of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Ontario Cancer Statistics report is intended to help inform planning for future cancer services, investigate notable patterns and measure and monitor population-based cancer control efforts. The primary data source for Ontario Cancer Statistics is the Ontario Cancer Registry, one of the largest and most frequently used cancer registries in North America, which marked its 60^th anniversary in 2024.
