In this role, the incumbent will lead analyses for real-world evidence (RWE) projects to address questions posed by federal, provincial, and territorial decision-makers about post-market drug safety and effectiveness in oncology. This is an exciting and unique opportunity where the Platform will bring timely evidence into the hands of decision-makers, enhancing the use of data and post-market evidence to inform decision-making in an efficient, responsive way. This includes designing and conducting real-world utilization, effectiveness, and safety studies with patient-level data using provincial administrative databases from across the platform.

The Team Lead-Decision Scientist performs a dual role. As a subject matter expert, they bring methodologic expertise with a focus on observational analyses in healthcare using secondary/administrative data sources and are accountable for rigorous and appropriate methodologic approaches to address informational needs. As a people leader, they are responsible for recruiting and retaining high-caliber talent, coaching and mentoring, setting expectations, allocating and prioritizing work, and overseeing and ensuring the quality of outputs across the analytic team.
