Reporting to the Department Head (Cancer Care and Epidemiology), the Common Sense Oncology Program Manager is responsible for program management and the administration of the Common Sense Oncology (CSO) initiative based at Queen’s University in Kingston, ON.

This is a new program whose goal is to work collaboratively with international partners to ensure that patients have access to cancer treatments that provide meaningful improvements in outcomes that matter irrespective of where they live or their health system. The Program Manager will join a dynamic group of core faculty who are based at Queen’s University together with network members which include oncologists, academics, patients, policymakers, and public from health systems all over the world.
In collaboration with and under the guidance of the senior leadership of CSO and members of the program, the incumbent will use effective leadership and team building experience to support the Department Head and core faculty in establishing this new program and overseeing its administration, finance, operations, staff, and activities to ensure its success.
The CSO Program Manager is a high visibility, fast-paced role with regular interaction with senior management and coordination across multiple teams and organizations. Through a keen interest in Common Sense Oncology and active relationship building with stakeholders, other universities and donors, the Program Manager will assist in developing this important initiative.
