Current Oncology Special Issue – Canadian Costing Research: one week left to submit!

Current Oncology is pleased to partner with the Ontario Institute for Cancer Research (OICR) and the Canadian Centre for Applied Research in Cancer Control (ARCC) to publish a special series on Canadian-specific Costing Research that involves the use of administrative data.  This series will be published in our February 2019 issue.
Submissions for this special series can include studies for any cancer at a regional, provincial or national level using administrative data sources to evaluate any one of the following themes:
  • Burden of illness studies;
  • Costs and cost-effectiveness of interventions, programs and policies;
  • Applied costing studies;
  • Direct costs borne by patient or other payers;
  • Indirect costs around lost earnings and/or productivity;
  • Population health modeling studies;
  • Studies adapting models for the Canadian context.
Studies can be from the perspective of the patient, health care system or society. Submissions by new investigators are strongly encouraged.
How to Submit & Submission Guidelines
Manuscripts must be submitted electronically through our online submission and peer review system at www.current-oncology.com. Please submit manuscripts under the section “Short Communication – Costing Series”, which will notify the Editors that your manuscript is to be considered for this special series. Applicable Author Fees will be waived for manuscripts accepted for publication and inclusion in this series.
