Canadian Cancer Statistics 2021 Now Available!

Developed in collaboration with the Canadian Cancer Society, Statistics Canada and the Public Health Agency of Canada, with data provided by provincial and territorial cancer registries, this publication provides foundational information of the impact of cancer in Canada. For example, it shows a projected 229,200 cancer diagnoses and 84,600 cancer deaths this year alone. The full report, along with supporting resources, can be found at www.cancer.ca/statistics.

The publication also reveals patterns and trends for cancer statistics in Canada. Notably, this year’s publication shows that the expected prostate cancer mortality rate represents a 50% decline since the rate peaked in 1995. For more, please see the media release.
